What Are the Best Resorts to Get Married In Jamaica?

Get your freedom back with…

When I got married, it was a rainy Sunday in March. The temperature was good, but the weather was miserable.

That was 30 years ago.

A trend that was beginning back then was destination weddings, many in Jamaica.

So I asked myself, if I could redo my wedding day but instead do it in sunny Jamaica, what resort would it be?

Here’s my list for the best resorts to get married in Jamaica:

Let me explain why I picked these resorts. I’ll talk about the rooms followed by restaurants.

Get your freedom back with…

And to cap it off, I’ll describe the activities you can enjoy on or near the property.

If you’re ready to plan your dream wedding, you can use the link on the right or down below to select your resort.

Round Hill Hotel and Villas

Rooms

If you’re looking for an intimate wedding, Round Hill Hotel and Villas should be on your list.

How does this sound?

There are only 27 private villas. If you’d rather stay in one of the 36 oceanfront guestrooms designed by Ralph Lauren, you’ll be greeted by plantation-shuttered windows or balcony.

Inside is a four-poster bed, walk-in shower, dual vanities and a soaking tub.

Restaurants

Easily get the extra cash you need….

You’re getting married.

The ambiance is set. Likely you’ll spend your honeymoon here.

So you’ll want that luxury feel for the remainder of your stay.

That’s why the Round Hill Restaurant is among the best there is.

You’ll enjoy dishes created by a James Beard award-winning chef and choose from a wine list recognized with the “Award of Excellence” in 2014 by Wine Spectator.

If you choose a villa, you can take your cooked-to-order breakfast on your private terrace.

When you’re ready for dinner, the rooftop restaurant, The Grill, provides fantastic views of the ocean.

The smoky aroma of the sweet wood cooking sustainably-grown, organic produce is the perfect way to finish the evening.

You can even enjoy breakfast there if you choose.

Activities

When you’re not enjoying your villa or authentic Jamaican food, there are a host of actives to enjoy, particularly if you like water sports.

Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Scuba diving
  • Kayaking
  • Water-skiing
  • Sportfishing
  • Glass bottom boat
  • Windsurfing
  • Snorkeling
  • Speedboat trips

If the only thing you’d like to do in the water is swim or get your toes wet, you can always play golf or tennis.

If shopping is what you would define as a sport, then the Round Hill Gift Shop & Boutique is probably for you.

No matter what you choose, I think you’ll have a wedding and honeymoon you will remember for a very long time.
