Is It Worth Going All Inclusive in Bali?

Get your freedom back with…

You’ve decided you’re going to take a vacation at a resort in Bali.

But you’ve got questions.

Your most pressing question right now is, Is it worth going all-inclusive in Bali?

After all, you don’t want to spend money unnecessarily.

So, is it worth going all-inclusive in Bali?

There is no one right answer.

Get your freedom back with…

However, we say it depends on if you’re bringing a family or if you’re traveling solo or with another person.

Yes – Assuming you have a family, going to an all-inclusive resort in Bali is a good deal. While transportation and dining costs are reasonable for two people in Bali, transporting a family will add up. Going to an all-inclusive in Bali means the restaurants will be on-premise and will be included in the cost of your stay. The children can also eat as much as they like.

If traveling solo or with another person, an all-inclusive resort in Bali may not be worth the cost.

Your money will stretch pretty far when you get to Bali.

Restaurants and dining establishments in Bali will not cost as much as in many Western countries.

Because you won’t be staying at an all-inclusive resort, the restaurants may not be on location.

Note that you will have to get transportation which will factor into your expenses.

For one or two people, the cost will be reasonable.

Easily get the extra cash you need….

That’s the direct answer to the question based strictly on how much money will leave your pocket.

Later in this article, we will discuss what all-inclusive means in Bali.

Specifically, what is included in the cost of your all-inclusive Bali vacation.

Since you’re thinking about taking an all-inclusive vacation in Bali, you probably have additional questions like:

  • What does all-inclusive mean in Bali?
  • What’s the best accommodation for an all-inclusive stay in Bali?
  • If sightseeing in on your list, what is Bali famous for?

What to Expect from a Bali All-inclusive Package?

A Bali all-inclusive package typically offers a hassle-free vacation experience for visitors. This package encompasses comfortable accommodations, sumptuous meals, a range of recreational activities, and sometimes even transportation. Opting for an all-inclusive deal allows travelers to fully immerse themselves in the Bali experience without the constant concern of added expenses.

Let’s get into this in more detail:

Accommodations to Make You Feel at Home:

An integral part of any Bali all-inclusive package is luxurious accommodation.

Whether you opt for a beachfront suite or a secluded villa amidst rice paddies, these packages ensure you reside in the lap of luxury.

High-quality linens, plunge pools, and a view to die for – all are part and parcel of the experience.

Gastronomic Delights at Every Meal:

Bali is known for its delicious cuisine, a mix of traditional dishes and international favorites.

With an all-inclusive package, expect a culinary journey that takes you from freshly caught seafood by the ocean to succulent satay grilled to perfection.

Moreover, these packages often also include beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, so you can enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand without any added stress to your bill.

Activities for Every Taste:

One of the standout features of a Bali all-inclusive package is the array of activities on offer.

Dive into the crystal-clear waters and explore the vibrant marine life, or partake in a traditional Balinese dance class.

Exercising by the beach, trekking through terraced rice fields, or simply relaxing with a spa treatment – there’s never a dull moment.

Travel Made Easy:

While not all packages include this, some high-end Bali all-inclusive resorts provide airport transfers or transportation within the island, making your travel experience smooth and stress-free.

This added feature ensures you don’t have to worry about taxi fares or navigating the island’s roads, making your vacation truly relaxing from start to finish.

Immersive Cultural Experiences:

Bali is rich in culture, from its temples and ceremonies to its art and dance.

Many all-inclusive packages incorporate cultural excursions or activities, allowing visitors to engage with the local heritage.

This could be in the form of guided temple tours, traditional cooking classes, or even local village visits.

Peace of Mind:

Perhaps the most underrated benefit of a Bali all-inclusive package is the peace of mind it brings.

Knowing that everything is prepaid and taken care of lets you focus on the experience rather than constantly calculating expenses or budgeting daily activities.

Get around on your own…

Plan Your Activities in Bali

We’re going to get into more detail about what Bali is famous for.

But if you already know Bali is going to be your next vacation, use this widget below from our affiliate partner Viator to book your tours and excursions!

What Is Bali Famous For?

Bali is famous for a lot of things that would be attractive to tourists.

Here are some of the things you can enjoy on a visit to Bali:

  • Ubud Monkey Forest
  • Menjangan Island
  • Mount Agung
  • Dreamland Beach (loved by professional surfers)
  • Mount Batur

Ubud Monkey Forest

The Ubud Monkey Forest is located in the village of Padangtegal which owns the forest.

The 900 Balinese long-tailed monkeys live in an area of the forest called The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Monkey Forest Ubud).

It’s a pretty cool place to visit since the 900 monkeys aren’t in cages.

You see them in their natural habitat.

Since you’ll be in their environment, there are a few guidelines/recommendations.

To keep yourself safe, avoid physical contact with the monkeys.

They are wild animals and you’ll be in their habitat.

They also don’t recommend bringing food from outside the park.

Although if you give them a banana, the monkeys will come up to you.

Also, you will be on sacred land and some of it is prohibited from outside visitors.

Treat it the way you would want a visitor coming to your home to respect your house.

There are certain areas you don’t mind guests being.

But others are off-limits.

The same is true here.

Menjangan Island

Menjangan Island is part of West Bali National Park.

With the exception of snorkeling, most things on the island are free, including visiting the temples and laying out on the beach.

Discover the perfect resort….

You will need a guide.

The cost is nominal though, about $25 U.S.

A permit to enter the park will also be required.

That too will be in the low twenty-dollar range.

One of the best times to go the Menjangan Island is in the spring.

The Javanese word for ‘deer’ is Menjangan.

And it’s how the island got its name.

Every spring, flocks of these rare wild Javan deer swim 2 kilometers to the island.

If you’re there at the right time, you’ll be able to see them!

Mount Agung

If you’re the adventurous type, one of the first places you’ll probably gravitate to is the active volcano Mount Agung.

Don’t pay more for your flight….

If you book a tour, you’ll climb the 5,905 feet (1,800 meters) toward the summit and see the sunrise.

You’ll even be served breakfast, snacks and morning tea.

The ideal time to hike Mount Agung is between April and October when the weather is dryer.

It’s best to avoid visiting in January and February because the heavy rains can cause flooding and even landslides.

You’ll be expected to bring your own equipment.

That would include hiking shoes, a jacket, pants and hand gloves since it can get cold at the higher elevations.

Dreamland Beach

If you’re not the adventurous type, you might prefer Dreamland Beach.

Its beautiful clean white beaches complete with sunbed and umbrellas provides the perfect environment to lay out in the sun and relax.

The waves can be big and so might not be ideal for swimming. They are, however, the perfect conditions for people who enjoy surfing. Try to stay until dusk. The sunsets are amazing.

Mount Batur

Mount Batur is another volcanic mountain for those wanting to enjoy the outdoors while in Bali.

Have space for all your essentials…

When you book your excursion, it will include breakfast.

This will fuel you up and get you ready to climb the 5,633 ft (1,716 meters) to the top.

The best part is that reaching the summit is only half the fun. You’ll get to watch the sunrise from the top and walk around the crater and soak in the countryside.
