You’ve decided you’re going to take a vacation at a resort in Bali. But you’ve got questions. Your most pressing question right now is, Is it worth going all-inclusive in Bali? After all, you don’t want to spend money unnecessarily.
So, is it worth going all-inclusive in Bali? There is no one right answer. However, we say it depends on if you’re bringing a family or if you’re traveling solo or with another person.
Yes – Assuming you have a family, going to an all-inclusive resort in Bali is a good deal. While transportation and dining costs are reasonable for two people in Bali, transporting a family will add up. Going to an all-inclusive in Bali means the restaurants will be on-premise and will be included in the cost of your stay. The children can also eat as much as they like.
If traveling solo or with another person, an all-inclusive resort in Bali may not be worth the cost. Your money will stretch pretty far when you get to Bali. Restaurants and dining establishments in Bali will not cost as much as in many Western countries. Because you won’t be staying at an all-inclusive resort, the restaurants may not be on location. Note that you will have to get transportation which will factor into your expenses. For one or two people, the cost will be reasonable.
That’s the direct answer to the question based strictly on how much money will leave your pocket. Later in this article, we will discuss what all-inclusive means in Bali. Specifically, what is included in the cost of your all-inclusive Bali vacation.
Since you’re thinking about taking an all-inclusive vacation in Bali, you probably have additional questions like:
What does all-inclusive mean in Bali?
What’s the best accommodation for an all-inclusive stay in Bali?
If sightseeing in on your list, what is Bali famous for?
What can you expect if you pay for an all-inclusive vacation in Bali?
Of course, your lodging is covered. But it extends beyond that. Your dining cost is also included. In most cases, all three meals – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – are provided at no additional cost. In many cases, you’ll have a choice of restaurants to select from. Daytime activities that are on-premise are usually included. While each of these don’t necessarily exist in every resort, some things that are common at all-inclusive resorts in Bali include:
An all-inclusive in Bali is a nice way to spend a vacation because so much of what you will do to enjoy your vacation is available without needing to leave the resort.
What Is Bali Famous For?
Bali is famous for a lot of things that would be attractive to tourists. Here are some of the things you can enjoy on a visit to Bali:
Ubud Monkey Forest
Dreamland Beach (loved by professional surfers)
Ubud Monkey Forest
The Ubud Monkey Forest is located in the village of Padangtegal which owns the forest. The 900 Balinese long-tailed monkeys live in an area of the forest called The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Monkey Forest Ubud).
It’s a pretty cool place to visit since the 900 monkeys aren’t in cages. You see them in their natural habitat. Since you’ll be in their environment, there are a few guidelines/recommendations. To keep yourself safe, avoid physical contact with the monkeys. They are wild animals and you’ll be in their habitat. They also don’t recommend bringing food from outside the park. Although if you give them a banana, the monkeys will come up to you.
Also, you will be on sacred land and some of it is prohibited from outside visitors. Treat it the way you would want a visitor coming to your home to respect your house. There are certain areas you don’t mind guest being. But others are off limits. The same is true here.
Menjangan Island is part of West Bali National Park. With the exception of snorkeling, most things on the island are free, including visiting the temples and laying out on the beach. You will need a guide. The cost is nominal though, about $25 U.S. A permit to enter the park will also be required. That too will be in the low twenty-dollar range.
One of the best times to go the Menjangan Island is in the spring. The Javanese word for ‘deer’ is Menjangan. And it’s how the island got its name. Every spring, flocks of these rare wild Javan deer swim 2 kilometers to the island. If you’re there at the right time, you’ll be able to see them!
The ideal time to hike Mount Agung is between April and October when the weather is dryer. It’s best to avoid visiting in January and February because the heavy rains can cause flooding and even landslides.
You’ll be expected to bring your own equipment. That would include hiking shoes, a jacket, pants and hand gloves since it can get cold at the higher elevations.
If you’re not the adventurous type, you might prefer Dreamland Beach. Its beautiful clean white beaches complete with sunbed and umbrellas provides the perfect environment to lay out in the sun and relax.
The waves can be big and so might not be ideal for swimming. They are, however, the perfect conditions for people who enjoy surfing. Try to stay until dusk. The sunsets are amazing.
As you can see, it is worth it to go on an all-inclusive vacation in Bali. There are some amazing all-inclusive resorts where you can stay. Click the link or picture on any of the resorts mentioned in this article. Or use the resort finder below.
Not only are there great all-inclusive resorts, there is a lot to see and do once you’ve unpacked. From hiking volcanos Mount Agung and Mount Batur and surfing the waves of Dreamland Beach, to experiencing monkeys in their natural environment in Ubud Monkey Forest, there’s something for everyone.
If your goal in vacationing in Bali is simply to relax and soak in the sun, then an all-inclusive resort is perfect. Most have spas where you can be pampered. Afterward, you can return to your room that very possibly overlooks serene, pristine waters.
No matter the activities you plan, Bali is absolutely worth it to enjoy an all-inclusive vacation.
